The Community Center/Culinary Arts Facility is the second building on the new 100-acre Chaffey College Chino Campus and a joint venture of Chaffey College and the City of Chino. The facility is designed to accommodate College functions, City related functions such as State-of-the-City, Chamber of Commerce events and community meetings. The facilities are also designed for revenue-generating events such as banquets, conferences and weddings.
The facility's large commercial kitchen doubles as instructional space for the college's culinary arts program. The main room looks out onto a landscaped, walled outdoor courtyard that doubles as pre-and post-function space for special events. Historical and vernacular references are elevated to a higher level of design through delicately carved ceilings creating dramatic light filled spaces; large, intricately detailed and crafted wood doors and walls reminiscent of classic public structures, and expansive, column-free interior and exterior gathering spaces intended to engage the occupants.
